The ES-2108 Managed Layer 2 Fast Ethernet Switch series is specially designed for small workgroup environments. Its unique fan-less design eliminates annoying noise making it suitable for noise-intolerant environments. The ES-2108 series offers two different models, the ES-2108 and the ES-2108-G. The ES-2108-G features one dual personality Gigabit upper link port for flexible deployment and longrange connectivity. Based on the non-blocking 3.6 Gbps switching architecture, the ES-2108 series provides 8-port 10/100Mbps Layer 2 switching capability at wire speed over existing CAT-5 cabling to computersThe ZyXEL ES-2108 series is designed to serve diverse applications in various network environments. For quality of service application, the ES-2108 series comes with 4 priority queues per port for different types of traffics. In addition, DSCP is supported as well to realize an end-to-end QoS environment. Regarding IP multicasting applications, the ES-2108 series features IGMP snooping to optimize the service quality. Also in bandwidth management, the ES-2108 series can support increment of 64Kbps to fulfill bandwidth differentiation.
