IPChitChat can provide you with a 0845, 0870, 070 or 0871 non-geographic number, which can be configured to point to your SIP phone, enabling callers to dial your IP phone, via a conventional landline telephone number.

Otherwise, please create an account using the link below where you can select you Geographic number as part of the signing up process. The £35.88 for the service is an annual fee.

What is a UK non-geographic number?

A UK non-geographic number is a telephone number which is not associated to any geographic location within the UK, such as 0845 and 0871 numbers.

What is a 0845 number?

It is a UK local rate telephone number. This number is charged to the caller at the same rate as a local rate UK telephone call.

What are 0870 and 0871 numbers?

0870 numbers are UK non-geographic virtual telephone numbers for use with your IP phone or PBX.

What are 070 numbers?

070 numbers are personal numbers, which allow you to be contacted no matter where you are. Calls are routed to your own private number, which will always remain private. You can pick up the call wherever you are.

0871 numbers are now classed as Premium rate numbers and are charged to the caller at 10p per minute plus network extras.

Important notice: If you hold a 0871/2/3 number then you must ensure that callers are aware of the charge to dial this number. The price must be displayed on all literature that contains your number. It must be clear and displayed close to the number and not hidden.

Can I choose my own number?

Unfortunately, the numbers are allocated randomly. However, we also provide number porting services.

Please Note: You may not be able to dial a 0845, 0870 or 0871 number from outside of the UK. Please consult your local telecommunications provider for further information.
