AT-530 provides a safe mode facility for recovering a faulty unit that has a boot or configuration problem.

Safe mode allows you to re-apply the phone firmware or reset the phone to factory default settings.

To enter safe mode, please perform the following steps:

Power up the IP Phone

As the schedule bar is displayed, press the # key

The AT-530 is now in safe mode (with an IP address of 192.168.10.1)

From a PC in the same 192.168.10.x network, Telnet to the AT530

The following menu will be displayed.

Show Mac Address
2 ---- FTP Update Image
3 ---- Clear Configuration
4 ---- Exit and Reboot

Please note that in order to update the firmware, you first need to apply a firmware of less than 1310720 bytes in size. Once this has been completed then you can update to the latest firmware through the web console.
